High-Speed Cylindrical Collapse of Perfect Fluid

چکیده
The gravitational collapse of a cylindrically distributed perfect fluid is studied. We assume that the collapsing speed of the fluid is very large and investigate such a situation using recently proposed high-speed approximation scheme. We show that if the value of the pressure divided by the energy density is bounded below by some positive value, the high-speed collapse is necessarily decelerated by pressure repulsion so significantly that this approximation scheme becomes inapplicable. However, even in the case of a mono-atomic ideal gas, which is a typical example of the bounded case, an arbitrarily large tidal force for freely falling observers can be realized before the high-speed approximation breaks down if the initial collapsing velocity is set to a very large value. By contrast, in case that the equation of state is sufficiently soft, we find that the high-speed collapse is maintained until a spacetime singularity forms. 1 typeset using PTPTEX.cls 〈Ver.0.9〉

High-Speed Cylindrical Collapse of Two Perfect Fluids
In this paper, the study of the gravitational collapse of cylindrically distributed two perfect fluid system has been carried out. It is assumed that the collapsing speeds of the two fluids are very large. We explore this condition by using the high-speed approximation scheme. There arise two cases, i.e., bounded and vanishing of the ratios of the pressures with densities of two fluids given by...
متن کاملGravitational collapse of dissipative fluid as a source of gravitational waves
Gravitational collapse of cylindrical anisotropic fluid has been considered in analogy with the work of Misner and Sharp. Using Darmois matching conditions, the interior cylindrical dissipative fluid (in the form of shear viscosity and heat flux )is matched to an exterior vacuum Einstein–Rosen space-time. It is found that on the bounding 3-surface the radial pressure of the anisotropic perfect ...
متن کاملVibrational characteristics of a spinning thermally affected cylindrical shell conveying viscous fluid flow carrying spring-mass systems
In this article, the vibrational behavior of a spinning cylindrical thick shell carrying spring- mass systems and conveying viscos fluid flow under various temperature distributions is investigated. This structure rotates about axial direction and the formulations include the coriolis and centrifugal effects. In addition, this system is conveying viscous fluid, and the related force is calculat...

Abstract We construct an approximate solution which describes the gravitational emission from a naked singularity formed by the gravitational collapse of a cylindrical thick shell composed of dust. The assumed situation is that the collapsing speed of the dust is very large. In this situation, the metric variables are obtained approximately by a kind of linear perturbation analysis in the backg...
متن کاملEffects of Electromagnetic Field on Gravitational Collapse
In this paper, the effect of electromagnetic field has been investigated on the spherically symmetric collapse with the perfect fluid in the presence of positive cosmological constant. Junction conditions between the static exterior and non-static interior spherically symmetric spacetimes are discussed. We study the apparent horizons and their physical significance. It is found that electromagn...
